Cheerio Everyone! ~Happy Face~
I’d like to begin by stating although Fooliard will still be designing t shirts; as CEO and Chief Designer for Fooliard I am informing everyone that I will be holding off on retailing t shirts. This action is being taken in order to better our product and prepare for the opportunities that have been presented to participate in 2013 Fashion show. That means I will need to work on Fooliard’s material full time.
With that being said; I’d like to announce my excitement in this long and drawn-out decision to retire from my full time position at my 9-5 beginning late August 2012. I am ecstatic to be preparing Fooliard for all of the possibilities that lie ahead; full time. In the mean time; since I am working on a few things for Fooliard here and there, now is the time to participate in many other causes and I myself individually am looking forward to finally doing what I’ve always wanted to do. And that is...(drum roll please) to donate to charity and participate in charity events.
I have created a team called “The Heart of Milton Myles” for the AIDS Walk of NYC 2012. Here; is where I’ve come up with as a plan while I await their approval to create this team (crossing fingers). I’ve written a book called “Deadly Catch” some time ago. It is based on the AIDS virus. I will be handing out 10 free books to individuals the day of the walk (Sunday, May 20th 2012). Fooliard will make t shirts for everyone on “The Heart of Milton Myles” team, where a general design will be created, and for anyone who’s lost a family member or friend to the disease can place a picture and/or their birth date/death date. So far I have recruited four people to join me on this walk. (Yay!)
I am truly looking forward to participating in these events not only to make a difference, even if it is the smallest (which can go a long way); I am thinking of better ways to get to know people and make Fooliard a brand. Build genuine connections and give back to the community. Please excuse me if I've said that already, as I simply cannot express that enough! Because at the end of the day, I can sell many many t shirts and still not be a brand. Fooliard is set to be original, different, creative and most of all FROM THE HEART. Giving back to the community is from the heart. I look forward to what the future will bring for both me and my baby (Fooliard) and I hope to see you there throughout this enormous journey to the top.
For anyone who would like to join me for the AIDS walk, stay tuned as I will post updates and information as soon as I receive them. (Checking my emails every two minutes for that confirmation! LOL)
